This Web Site Has Really GrownThis Web site launched on August 2, 2005 and by the end of August I had 19 unique visitors (by IP). Of course, two of those were me (one IP from home and another from work) and several others were search engine robots or "bots." But by the end of 2005 I had 366 unique visitors. Not bad. I was pretty excited. And I believe this was before the forums were added. 2005 Monthly Site Stats
2006 Site Growth or "Yee Hah!," as Texans SayThe next few months were much more exiciting. Early 2006 saw rapid growth. I started the forums, I believe, in March 2006. Just take a look at these numbers. Pay attention to the unique visitors column. In March, they doubled from around 1000 to 2000, and they just kept going up ever since. By the end of 2006, I was getting over 8000 unique visitors a month for a grand total of over 39,000 for the year. Not bad at all. 2006 Monthly Site Stats
It Only Gets Better, 2007 to DateSo far, I've had over 9,000 unique visitors a month in 2007, so we're projected here to have well over 100,000 unique visitors by the end of the year, which is over double what we had for 2006. Here are the numbers so far. 2007 Monthly Site Stats
ConclusionThe Web site is doing well. I wish I could spend more time on it. Lately I've been really involved with many other projects, but the site continues to grow. I seriously plan in the near future to spend more time on this site and really increase activity on the forums as well. The forums have lagged lately and for that I apologize. I've just been too busy with my family and other Web projects. But the time has almost come to return my focus on DHTMLdev.com. Thanks for visiting the site and please visit the forums. I do answer questions! |

I launched this Web site in August 2005 to publish DHTML related articles and news. I wanted to share code that worked and news that mattered to Web developers. So ... how has this site been doing? Here's an update. Fans might be interested to see how the audience numbers have grown; Webmasters will almost certainly be interested in the stats I show, esp. if you're thinking of starting a site of your own like this one.
